Virginia Beach

This summer we had the opportunity to go to Virgina Beach. The reason we had the opportunity is a dear friend of mine was getting married and we had been invited to the wedding. We were so excited we hadn't taken a long family vacation for quite awhile. So we made our hotel reservations. I found us a great place right on the beach, ocean view right on the boardwalk. Had fun hanging out on the beach, boogie boarding, looking for shells, walking on the boardwalk,going for a surrey ride. I think you get the idea we had fun. We also got to attend our very first destination wedding. The wedding took place at 7:00 right on the beach. It was awesome. I have so many photos that I took I did narrow it down but, I had a lot so I put them in a slide show for you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.

The Review

Ok so I should have posted this before my Maryland post but, I didn't so bare with me. Each year Judy's Dance does and end of the year review. You order cool costumes and they perform and show off what they have accomplished in their classes. Molly takes jazz and has for 2 years now. Ari takes gymnastics and has taken that for 4 years. They both have been with the same group which is nice because they work so well together and they have fun. I enjoy hanging out with moms each week. That may come as a surprise to all of you since I'm such a social butterfly hehe. Enjoy some pictures of my kiddo's performing.

Maryland here we come....

Ok I know it has been forever since I have graced you with my presence. I'm sure you have missed me terribly ( I'm dripping with sarcasm). As soon as school got out we went on vacation!! We headed out east to see my sister, go to a wedding, and see Charlie's sister. We had so much fun at my sister's like we always do. We went to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Andy my BIL so graciously took off of work for the afternoon to show us around. My sister, unfortunately had to work while we were there. The joys of being in management. Don't get me wrong she absolutely LOVES her job and they are really good to her. We went to the aquarium and saw a phenomenal dolphin show, the girls' loved it. They loved seeing all the different exhibits. We also went paddle boating they had really cool paddle boats that looked like dragons so of course that is what they wanted to do. Ate some yummy food and just had a great time. Time always goes so fast when we visit so we were sad to go three days later. We had a wedding in Virgina Beach but, I will save that for another blog.

Acrobatic Ari

Ari has been taking gymnastics at Judy's Dance for about 3.5 yrs or so. She absolutely loves it and has quite the knack for it. I love watching her. She has mastered her back flip and will do them about anywhere I let her. She got bored watching her sister at the track meets so she would find a good spot of grass and have at it. I snapped some pictures and will share with you her talent that God has blessed her with.

Track

This year Molly started her first year of Jr. High. She has loved every part of it. All the clubs,classes, track. I was so excited when she asked if she could go out for track. I loved track in high school. Some of the events she did were the 400m run, 100m run, 100 hurdles she absolutely loved the hurdles. Her form was really good. I was so proud of her. We traveled all over, from Monmouth to Kewanee, to Bushnell to Sherrard....I think you get the idea. She was able to take quite a bit of time on her 400 and at Sectionals she shaved off three seconds from her hurdles. All in all it was a great experience for her and she can't wait to do it next year.

It's been toooo long....

Hey, I'm still here!! It has been crazy busy these last few months. I promise I will get back to telling you all about my life as a wife, mom, friend, daughter, sister. School is winding down. The kids are way excited. I have a lot to blog about. I will have even more in the next several months so bear with me. I hope you have enjoyed the sunshine the last few days. I can't wait for summer!!!
