My Birthday
Today is my 35th birthday! I'm proud of the fact that I'm that old or young. I don't feel old. I've been told I don't look that old either. I have had a great life so far. I was born in 1973 and was adopted on July 13th,1977 by my wonderful parents. I'm so blessed because of their decision to adopt my sister and I. My dad likes to joke that they two for the price of one. I just got done telling my kids that I wanted them to be nice to each other and to behave because it was my birthday. Then I turned around and yelled at them for fighting. Did I just say I yelled? LOL. Well I'd better go and just be a bum today. That I can do at least today right?

Kids say the darndest things!
I just love my kids, they are so full of "kidisims" yeah I just made up a new word. Today I was helping Ari finish up her bath. I help her wash her hair and she soaps herself up. I went in to do her hair and she said mom, I'm not done yet I need to wash the elbow grease off my elbows and I also need to wash the knee grease off my knees. I thought that was pretty funny.
Tonight as we are leaving bible school Molly my oldest saw a friend of ours walking in to church to pick up his children Molly proceeds to say to me ...Mom he is wearing shorts! It is ok for boys my age to wear shorts but grown ups should not wear shorts because their legs are so hairy that is just gross! I just had to share. My kids make me laugh. Until next time.

Cute conversations
Ari and I were driving either to my mom's or after dropping Molly off at play practice. She asked me if Molly was the middle child I said yes. She then proceeds to say that her and Caleb are the side childs!! I thought that was so cute I had to share.
Visitors
Last week was an eventful week. My sister and her family were here from Maryland! We had a lot of fun catching up on each others lives and seeing the kids. My sister Anita has two little girls' Taylor who is 3 and will turn 4 on October. Rachel just turned 1 in June boy are they cute! Rachel had a rough start after she arrived in this world she was a prayed for little girl. Now she is quite healthy. Of course I have a lot of pictures showing off my nieces and of course my girls and the rest of the family. My sister and her family Thursday to go back to her husbands side of the family. Get this quite a bit of his family are from Carthage go figure. We had everyone in for a cookout at our house Wednesday night we had a lot of fun. As they were leaving Taylor gave Ari a "flower" so she would remember her forever and never forget one another how cute is that. Well I will quit rambling so I can download pictures.
Baptisim

On July 20th my son was baptized at Rozetta Baptist church where my parents and Caleb attend. For those of you who do or don't know I have a son and he lives with my parents. It was great to see and my sister happened to be back at the same time it was a real blessing. Here are a few photos from the event.

oops
Sorry about the extra photos that have nothing to do with camp but this is my first time doing a video.
Church Camp 2008
This past week Molly and I went off to faith Bible Camp for a week of fun. Molly went as a camper for the second year and I went as a cook. It was so much fun. The theme for camp was Go For The Gold in honor of the Olympics coming up. Molly's cabin name was The Stars. A day at camp included getting up at 7:00 which Molly can do no problem. Breakfast was at 8:00 which I had to be up at least 6:30 which I do not like to do. Then they had to go back to their cabin if they didn't have to help wash dishes and pick up the cabin. They had a morning singing time and message which was done by Pastor Kirk. After that they had devotion time, followed by an activity such as crafts, archery, ropes course, or games. Lunch was served at noon then they had F.O.B which means flat on bunk. Molly wasn't too thrilled with that the first couple of days. By Wednesday or Thursday she was ready. They had time to swim and go off the blob. Supper was at 5:00. Another highlight for her was getting a package if they got one they had to do a penalty. It made her day. They had a little down time and then they sang some more and had a message. After that their was fun time. That is when they sang crazy songs and did goofy games. Sometimes when it was dark they would play a night game like flashlight tag. over all I think it was a great week. Friday night they had a sharing time where they could stand up and give their testimony or tell something they learned that week. It was really cool. Their were decisions made for Christ which is really awesome. Well I have rambled long enough. Enjoy some pictures.
Big Bang Boom!!

After our brunch that morning we went to Charlie's parents house and cooked out. As always we went to Lake Storey to watch the fireworks grandpa rode along. The fireworks were spectacular. Last year they had quite a delay but, they sure made up for it this year. We had terrific seats. Had a very enjoyable evening.
Independance Day

Sleep?? What's That!!!
You know when you are really tired but your mind is racing a million miles an hour? Well it is one of those nights for me. I went to bed at 10:30 did a devotion, chatted with my hubby for a little bit. We rolled over and closed our eyes sounds kind of romantic ha ha. Needless to say Charlie fell asleep and here I am at 12:46 A.M. still awake. I think I figured out my daughter's sewing project, I hope. I do enjoy the solitude but not quite this late. I think I'm going to try to go to bed now. I'd take a picture of myself but I don't want to scare all of you away. Good night or I guess I should say good morning. Until next time.

God moments
The other day I hear Molly and Ari talking. I only caught the end of the conversation. Molly asked Ari do you know how a circle has no beginning and no end and Ari answers yes Molly says well that is like God he has no beginning and he won't end. I think she gets it. Man, I love my kids'!!
WORMS

Today the girls were driving me crazy so I tell them to go outside and play. They did but not for very long they said it was too hot. It wasn't it was beautiful. Charlie was home for lunch and they are wrestling he said go outside they said the same thing. He then suggests that they go play in the sprinkler oh you thought they just won the lottery. I am in the kitchen cleaning up and they are carrying there umbrellas open why they had them I don't know. Molly pipes up we have three worms. They were pretty impressed with themselves so of course had to snap a few pictures. Quite often these girls' are freaked out about ants. Who knew. Until next time.
Hot Rod Camp

Most of you know I have a son who is 16 and drives. Wow that makes me feel so old to see that in print. Anyways, the first part of June he and his cousin had the opprotunity to go to a camp where they built a 1932 Ford Roadster from the ground up . It is pretty sweet. The car was on display at the car show during railroad days. so if anyone needs a car it is for sale. Here are a couple pictures of him and the car. He looks like he was beat up. He was playing baseball with his sisters turned to run and catch the ball and ran right into the tree I think the tree won.
Shopping Trip

This past Sunday Sierra Veale and I took our senior girls' to Iowa City to spend the night and go shopping! We started our adventure in Morton to watch Kimmie dance. She was unable to attend our trip we were so sad. After watching her recital we headed back to Galesburg to pick up Sierra's car. We arrived at our hotel about 10:00 of course we had to go swimming and that was very entertaining! Of course after playing in the water we needed a snack so we walked over to the nearest gas station and that was really entertaining. The next day we went to Coral ville Mall. The girls' shopped til they dropped. We left the mall about 4:00 or so I can't believe they were done! We decided to eat in Davenport at Red Robin. I highly recommend you try this place. Bottomless garlic and Parmesan steak fries and drinks. The burgers are to die for. We are on our way home just crossed the river and were in Moline and I hear this horrendous noise coming from my vehicle which it had just been in the shop. The description the girls' gave there parents was we are in a SUV and it sounds like a motorcycle. I call my hubby and of course thought I was joking at first. We drive to a spot where we are off the road and wait. Charlie was on his way to get our girls at my parents house in Alexis, so we had to wait for him to get back to galesburg drop the girls' off at his parents and go pick up the trailor. I called him at 7:30 and he arrived in Moline at 9: 30 or so. We had fun the girls' were awesome. I was very frustrated and had a few choice words floating around in my head. I was glad we were in moline and not Iowa City. It ended up blowing the spark plug out of the head again. I believe it was number seven or eight. I had problems one other time with the same issue. I do love my car!! Thanks for listening.
The End of God's Little League
Never a dull moment

Last Thursday I was in the bathroom getting ready to bathe. Ari comes into the bathroom (privacy what is that?) asking for safety pens I tell her they are in the drawer in the kitchen. I ask her what she needed them for and she said she was making a prom dress. She had taken a baby blanket and a belt and penned the blanket together and penned the tie so it went around her neck. Pretty god for a 5 year old. I told Molly to take a picture. Kids are so much fun.
