A Milk Bath...........Unintentionally
I have some other blogging I need to get done but thought I would share this with you now, since it happened today!! Today was my errand day. I went to Aldi's and got my groceries where milk is 1.49 a gallon WHOO HOO. That is where my fiasco started. I try to place things in the back of my vehicle carefully so I don't smash the bread, chips, etc. Well, I have to drive across town to get to Wal-mart and of course my mind is not on being careful because I have groceries in the back end. The girl's and I proceed to go into Wal-mart and get the rest of our household items and a few grocery items I could not get at Aldi's. I pay and we proceed out to the car. I tell the girls to go ahead and get in the car. I carefully open the backdoor. Out of habit just in case things have shifted and I kinda of put my hand there to try and catch anything that has shifted. Well you can imagine what I'm about to say.....The milk didn't have a chance!! It came out so fast. Let's just say milk jugs don't bounce on asphalt!!! I had milk everywhere, in my hair, on my face, on my feet. You get the picture!!! If I was a swearing person the air would have turned blue. I was so mad luckily I had bought 2 gallons. I took the broken jug and threw it in the trash. The girl's kept saying I'm sorry mommy I let them know it wasn't there fault. What a day. If I had my camera I might have taken a picture. I didn't cry over it either!!

I have Twins..... The Oxley's that is!!
Once again I had the privilage and honor of taking care of my friend's 2 year old twin boys. They are so much fun and such good little guys. Molly and Ari really enjoyed them and were really good help. Enjoy the fun photos.
Cookout at Uncle Teds and Aunt Chris.....5th of July
The fifth of July was a perfect day the sun was shining the weather was perfect unlike the previous day. Ted had us over for a great meal then we proceeded to go to Lake Storey for an evening of fun watching the spectacular fireworks show. I had a few extra kids with me that day they wanted to see the adorable kittens.
July Fun!!
For the 4th of July we went to Charlie's parents house and grilled out and made homemade ice cream!! The day was a chilly, rainy and wet day so the fireworks were cancelled that evening and postponed for the following night. The show was really good....the music that went with the fireworks show not so much. I'm a little behind on my blogging so bear with me.

Trifle Spectacular
I love to bake: cookies, cakes, pies, brownies.... I think you get the idea. For Sunday dinner I'm the one they ask to make the dessert because they know how much I like to do it. A couple weeks ago I made this trifle. I have made it quite a few times but, I dressed it up a bit so of course I took a picture of it. I found this recipe out of my Cake Mix Bible a gift from my SIL. I thought I would share the recipe with you.
Trifle Spectacular
1 pkg. Duncan Hines moist deluxe Devil's Food cake mix
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 c cold water
1 pkg. (4-serving size) vanilla-flavored instant pudding and pie filling mix
2 c of whipping cream whipped
2 T orange juice
2 1/2 c fresh strawberries
1 pint fresh raspberries
2 kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 c of frozen whipped topping, thawed for garnish
mint leaves for garnish (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 2 9 in. round cake pans.
2. Prepare, bake and cool cake following pkg. directions for basic recipe. Cut one cake layer into 1 inch cubes. Freeze remaining cake layer for another use.
3. Combine sweetened condensed milk and water in large bowl. Stir until blended. Add pudding mix. Beat until thoroughly blended. Chill 5 minutes. Fold whipped cream into pudding mixture.
4. To assemble, spread 2 c. pudding mixture into 3 quart trifle dish (or 3-quart clear glass bowl with straight sides) Arrange half the cake cubes over pudding mixture. Sprinkle with 1 T orange juice. Layer with 1 C. strawberry slices, half the raspberries and on-third of kiwi fruit slices. Repeat layers. Top with remaining pudding mixture. Garnish with whipped topping, remaining 1/2 c. strawberry slices, kiwi, and mint leaves if desired. Makes 10-12 servings
Hint: Since the different layers contribute to the beauty of this recipe, arrange the fruit pieces to show attractively along the sides of the trifle dish.

I have a BEDROOM!!!!
It has finally happened!! My room is complete and we moved in Father's Day weekend. Charlie was a little apprehensive about getting the box spring and mattress up the stairs. It was a struggle and thanks to a great friend (Jim) we were able to get it up the steps!! It was so weird to sleep in our room that first night. I love my room. Thank you Charlie. I wanted to put up a few pictures but, alas they are still on my camera. They will come soon.
