I'm back...This blog is going to be a little selfish. I'm going to talk about myself so if you don't want to hear me babble then you don't have to read it. Friends are important to me I love hanging out with them. I have a lot of friends, I'm a likable person. As my hubby always says "everybody loves Sherri" I hate when he says that....don't ask me why I just feel conceited or something. I have a few really close friends that I can tell anything to and vice versa.
Something is missing though. I know it will sound weird to a lot of you but, this is how I'm feeling at this time. No, I'm not wanting pity or people feeling sorry for me it has just been on my mind a lot lately. Don't get me wrong, I love the friends I have they are very dear and near to my heart. I know I will have a hard time getting my feelings across there is a lot bouncing around in my brain. So forgive me if I babble.
I want that person that I can call whenever and I won't feel like I'm bothering them or intruding and I want them to feel that way about me also. I want to have the same interests, never get bored with each other always be up for something. Have the same or similar morals. I want our families to hang out and do things on the weekends. It doesn't even have to be every weekend but just knowing at the drop of a hat we could plan something.
I have a couple of friends whom I envy ( I know I need to pray about that) They have been friends forever and they are always doing something together and they have so much fun. I love them dearly. But, I'm being selfish because I want that!!!
Granted my husband is my best friend but, get real people you all know they don't want to hear everything that goes on in our brains.
Another person I can count on is Jesus but, I want that physical being that can go shopping with me. AHHH there seems to be so much more I want to say but it isn't making sense in my head. This might be a continuing post. We shall see don't want to bore people and make them think that I'm depressed. I'm not just maybe in a funk. Or Jesus is working on me. Or I'm crazy (just kidding). As I finish this post, I will leave you with this last thought.
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:If either of them falls down, one can help the other up, But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves, A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Alright lady....I love you!!!
I feel this way often! And it's not that I'm missing something in my life it's just that I want to add to my life to make it even fuller. If that makes any sense. I feel ya, sweets. I do. In the "olden" days women had those type of friendships, and families got together, but now it seems it's too hard for that. I don't know...it's complicated. ((hugss)) Dinner soon?!?!? MUAH!
I think I know some of what you're feeling. I have a b"bestest" (since kindergarten...and I'm older than you, so you KNOW we've been friends a long time! *giggle*), and I have a couple "best friends,' and I have older, godly women I can turn to when life really turns upside down and count on their advice and prayerful concern...and I have a Mama I love more than anything...but I've a,ways felt I'm missing out on that "perfect" gf relationship.
Why does it seem everyone else can just plan coffee on a whim? Or a day of shopping? And my dream..a gf vacation?? I WANT to say that just happens in the movies...and then I hear (or now see a post on FB) that someone else is successfully pulling this kind of stuff off. *shakes head* REALLY??? Cuz my gfs are busy with their kids, their jobs, or something; it's never that easy. OR, I begin o think maybe I'm just not who anyone wants to on that stuff with. *poooooor Kimberly*
Maybe it's enemy lies and interference. Maybe I should pray about being a better gf. Maybe I just have busy friends and it WILL eventually get easier. Or maybe God just doesn't have that in my plan *shrug* maybe I should get over myself and just appreciate what I DO have.
Can't wait to see what you figure out, gf. Maybe this ol' dog will learn something. *giggle*
