Painting

Charlie and I have been working on our house to get it ready to put on the market. He has been working super hard.....he has put on a new porch, gutters, paint, ripping out a closet sounds like fun??? Well this past weekend we painted the trim and foundation. I wanted a nice dark red.....the color on the lid looked like the card I had picked out at Wal-mart she assured me she could match it. Well as we were painting it I kept thinking it will darken as it dries. Charlie was using the sprayer on the foundation and it wasn't looking good. We also think the paint wasn't right or something. Anyway, the girl's would have liked the color it was a nice shade of pink. It was pretty bad when you can pull into the driveway at night and the house was glowing!!! So, Sunday we went to Sherwin Williams picked out another color got just a sample to see if we liked it. Let's just say MUCH better!! I will share a few photos of our painting saga. The pink foundation picutres are on the bottom when they should be on the top. I clicked wrong so bear with me.

I'm still here!!

I haven't forgot about my blog, I promise. It has been so crazy lately. I need to download some pictures then I would have some things to talk about. We are trying to get our house ready to put on the market ( pray for us). My hubby has been super busy putting on a new floor on our porch, scraping, priming, painting the house. He rocks and I am so grateful for all that he does. The kids are loving school a lot. It is nice to finally be back into a routine of going to the Y, getting groceries, running other errands, Mom2Mom, whew makes me tired thinking about all of the things we do. I wouldn't change it for the world, I love my life.

New School Year

Well, another summer ended and a new school year has begun. Molly was super excited, she started Jr. High this year. She loves the idea of having a locker. She was a little nervous about having to remember her combination. So far so good. She has to remember two combinations right now and when she adds P.E. it will be 3 combinations. She walks to school and loves it. Ari started first grade this year. She was a little apprehensive that first day and nervous about riding the bus. I took her the first week and then we worked on riding the bus. Now, she enjoys it. I'm excited to see what this school year will bring for my kids'.

Pedicure

Molly and I and several other mother daughter combos are going through 8 Great Dates For You and Your daughter. A secret Keeper Girl has the Power of True Beauty and Modesty. It is a great book and has lots of fun things to do. As you may recall our first date was at a Tea Room. This time we did a pedicure at home. My friend and her daughter came over and we treated them to a fun evening. I have such an awesome daughter and am so blessed to have her.

Sleepover Fun

Molly had a few girls spend the night for her birthday. She just wanted to hang out. They did makeovers, had a fashion show, made up dance routines, played outside just had a great time. Made there own little pizzas etc. you get the idea.

Molly's birthday fun!!

We have a tradition on the kids' birthday. They start the day out with a muffin and opening gifts. We surprised Molly with a digital camera that was her biggie she was so excited. We love to be able to do things like that when they least expect it. We celebrated with just our family. The previous week we celebrated with my family and the next week we celebrated with Charlie's family. There are several birthday's on his side of the family that are really close. August 14th Molly had a few girls spend the night they had so much fun. So glad we have a bedroom upstairs that way they could hang out downstairs and play.

Words of Wisdom from Ari

This was pretty cute so I thought I would share it with all of you. This morning I'm getting ready and Ari was in the bathroom with me. She pipes up " Mom you know if you wear short shorts or a short skirt in your size they will make you look taller". I had to giggle and she said well they will.
